I used to visit ff.n's DGM section almost religiously and ate up anything remotely RK.
Now, I don't even have the interest to read RK even if it may be handed to me on a plate. DD: It is quite a revelation to me too XDD But out of boredom and reluctance for homework, I clicked into ff.n.
I don't know what I was expecting and maybe it was the lack of expectations but there is so much AUs. I dismissed the typical high school settings ones because those aren't new but there are really some strange ones...
Robots (huh?? -dumbfound face-)
Pirates (and it isn't even referring to Rabi!!)
Mermaids (Disney. Gray-man??!!)
Bakeries (serious?? Baker!who?)
So this sparked off the creative (and seriously disturbed) side of me:
Title: Untitled (because I seriously can't think of something remotely cool for this.) Rating: K+ Genre: AU, Adventure, Drama, Parody Summary: Three strangers come together to embark on a mystical journey in search of their dreams, to illegally poach creatures in the dangerous outskirts of their world. Warnings: Unicorn hunter!Allen. Dragon sniper!Rabi. Whale-sashimi cutter!Kanda.(This is clear abuse for "!")
This is my brain baby and I promise you and the world that I would actually never write such thing. Seriously, as brain damaged as I can get, I promise. ;P
PS: But please imagine Kanda throwing a whale in the end, gives the air a few nice clean slashes and raw whale meat falls to land neatly on a plate.
And it wasn't because I had terrible sashimi-cutting skills! (But it sounds like I managed to make it taste bad, just by cutting it =u=bb And if I did, that would take some serious skills DD: )
But I think it was just because this type of maguro isn't meant to be eaten raw. It smelled overly fishy (unappetizing) and I even tried to make a maguro sushi with it, but it still tasted funky.
In the end, we cooked the expensive maguro. -face palms- And it turned out to look a lot like pork. (ZOMG! Maguro is actually pork in disguise!! *shot*)
Anyways, as beautiful as it looks (its a pretty meaty rose if you couldn't guess!! ;O), I am sure I have lost the skills to become those sushimi (sashimi+sushi) masters that stand behind sushi bars and cut blocks of raw fish all day long.
PS: I totally bombed my calculus quiz today, there was 4 questions, I couldn't get the answer for 2 of them... -looks away in shame-
Representing my love for the month of February: A blackberry cheesecake from a family friend that tastes a bit on the sour side (which I quite like!) XD I think I have discovered a separate stomach for desserts in me. ;)
I wish everyone gets some money from Chinese New Year and love from St. Valentines Day this year~ ;D
This is just a sign that I still exist in this world.
I feel so disconnected with both the real world and the internet realm. -sigh-
These days, all I have been doing is trying to keep up with school work while day dreaming straight through classes. OTL And when I finally return home, time seems to pass by so fast and whatever time I get, I am watching dramas, good or bad, I feel like I am taking it all in.
As for fics, I haven't even opened a word document since at least 2-3 weeks ago.
I am ridden with guilt. ;P But I have no self-control. D:
School started and I ought to be very busy with my school work, which I am. But I still (somehow) wrenched time out to watch a few (or a little bit more) J-Dramas. XP And here is two I recommend, one recent, one not so recent.
An elite from New York and a disheveled cop partnership. The plotline is pretty action-packed, there are shootouts and main characters being shot at, and of course, my personal favorites... lover's quarrels! XDDD The verbal fights they have are sometimes side splitting funny and when they fight like this, they are just a tad bit (just a tad bit) gay, despite the fact that there actually is a female main (believe it or not!) in it XD
I think this is one of those that are thoroughly entertaining (more like hilarious) and not so hard on the brain dramas that everyone would like. Unless you don't like dramas in the first place. D:
It was super popular the time they aired it (in 2005) but as someone who can never keep with the latest of everything and anything, I have only watched it a few days ago. D: Basic plot line is typical, stereotypical: 2 boys, 1 girl, girl is a recluse, boys transform her into the next popular girl. And there is a mystery (who is actually quite predictable DD: ) person who tries to sabotage their plans.
It is a slow paced school themed drama, all about friendship and quite evident man-love too. Although, I would have preferred it more if it was a more fast paced work versus all those internal monologue and romantic relationships (excluding the man/man ones of course ;D) But as the last 5 minutes of the drama was FLAMBOYANTLY gay, unbelievable but it was, I give an extra bonus for that ;D
Since this is also an idol-type of dramas (mains are played by Kamenashi Kazuya (Kame) from Kat-tun and Yamashita Tomohisa (YamaPi) from NewS.) I never really liked Japanese boy bands or any boy bands from any other country for that matter, so groups like them just don't appeal to me. But with the ED of this drama, the two of them just killed me for some reasons and I have been obsessing over this song for the past few days.
It's just not healthy.
Why does everything I promote about these days are hinting on boy/boy love or are officially boy/boy love??
I know I have fallen into the deepest pit of a man hole (??!!) XDDDD I laugh hard at some of the things I come up with, seriously.
I hate my new semester and all the courses are agonizingly boring.
Period 1: Calculus: Ms. S gave us a review package to do... and let's just say all I can give is this face: @u. I think she lost me already. Even though I heard she is a ubber frightening teacher, she seems (<-- key word right here!!!) to be alright, for now. So I will play the good little attentive girl who hangs on to every last word she says in that thick thick accent of hers.
Period 2: Chemistry: Mr. G is funny, both teaching style and looks XD But the work load seems heavy... and for someone who had just slacked off for Bio for almost half a year, my brain is already hurting. It doesn't help that our class only has 4 girls out of like 25 people DD: And the only girl I know doesn't do anything even if I paid her... My main point? THERE IS NO ONE TO COPY OFF OF!!!
Period 3: Anthropology/Psychology/Sociology: Ms. B seems alright... though she seems to treat us as if we are in the third grade. I mean seriously, 3 strikes and you are in the hot seat??!! -raises brow- The course seem to be interesting, but I am not sure whether this teacher is really up to it. She seems nice and all but her teaching style just makes me back off (a lot). DD:
Period 4: English: Do I need to say anymore? There are essay to be written, books to be read and words (that does not portray the interaction between bishies) to be looked at. It bores the life out of me... I think the only thing I can look forward to is to get off school at the end of the day -cries-
So until June, I will probably be stuck in these course with no way out, unless I drop, which is probably just as unlikely DD: None of my friends are actually in my class, which really sucks and there are no smart people I can rely on. This semester sucks and I already can't wait until I get out of it.
Status: 8 Episodes released in Japanese, 4 Episodes released with Chinese/English Subs so far.
Summary: Based on a series of light novels by Ryohgo Narita with the same name. With the Butterfly Effect in mind, Durarara!! is a big pot of stir-fry set in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.
Featuring a cast of weird and somewhat dangerous people that somehow come together (a headless biker from Ireland, a super typical ordinary boy with a secret or two, a childhood best friend that knows a little of everything, a megane-chan with a nice bust, a v-necked t-shirt & fur collared jacket wearing young man that loves the human race save for one, a bartender look-alike debt collector that throws vending machines around, a black market doctor that I mistook for a girl, a black Russian man that works at a sushi restaurant, and a gang of four who seems to be otaku for the series Spice and Wolf) and a couple of plot lines that is simultaneously happening at once.
I know that was probably really confusing XD so I suggest you to all watch it! (Hardcore recommendation for this!! ;D)
Commentary: A recommendation of 5 stars out of 5! ;) Why? Because it is really that good! XD Or maybe its just me that really really likes these 'chain-effect' sort of storylines. Besides this, the characters are all really mysterious and cool-looking~ And besides that, there are at least two pairs of the male sex that are quite appealing together. For plot, for BL, for nice animation, I highly recommend this!
On a side note, I am being tempted into writing something for this series to promote some love for it. XDD
