How is this fair? I am just about to buy Zone-00.8 & DOGS 6 (when I get back to HK) and Japan has already released Zone-00.9 on Feb. 23rd and DOGS 7 in January without me knowing!! (I would blame xmfc but I know I've been neglecting my manga-reading ways as well... /looks away)

UUUNF! Kujou-sensei's art is still as glorious as ever and this time the cover features flat chest!Tae and booby-licious!Kinuka. It's like Kujou-sensei can read my mind on how I like my sexy ladies, either flat as a board or as well-endowed as they come. Though I can't really tell you what is going on or what has happened plot wise because I still haven't gotten my grubby hands on the 8th book!!! /rages

MAGATO-DARLING IN FLAMBOYANT PURPLE AS COVER ART! O Miwa-sensei, you've really outdone yourself! You cannot imagine how giddy I was after he reappeared in book... 5 (if my memory serves me correctly) and now he is on the cover. *u*

I know how some thinks DOGS has a rather typical plotline but I think Miwa Shirou's portrayal, especially in his art and story telling technique, is lovely. As slow moving as the plot is, I really enjoy it, it is almost like watching those 'artsy' black and white film that just doesn't need words, except with lots of blood and gorgeous characters, so it is like completely my taste (unlike The Artist which won 5 Oscars... like whut?!)


While I am over at Amazon (looking at mangas I will probably never own until the next decade or so) Adekan 5 is due for release on April 25th!! (Even though I still haven't read the 4th one, I still want to see cover art!!)

Black Out and a side of Hair Cut

Yesterday. My building had it's power cut because of a transmission problem with something nearby... I am still not too sure. All I know, my apartment had a blackout that lasted 6 hours.

Besides being forced to work in the hallway and get gawked at by neighbours I've never seen before, the only good thing? I actually got work done because there was no internet connection. But my laptop's battery only lasts 3 hours at most...

And then I found an emergency plug out in the hall! *u*

Things eventually resolved themselves at around 10 at night and I am pretty sure everyone who didn't have an early bed time that night plugged back in ALL their electronics... OTL Still, it's frightening to know how dependent we are on electricity... /fears


PS: Did I mention I got a hair cut by a horrible barber who gave me butt-ugly hair and cut it 2 more inches shorter than I specify? OTL But my mom sort of fixed it and now my hair is back to short short short, slight bob-ish hair again. XD

All my Reiko Love

Title: Reiko Monogatari/The Legend of Reiko (麗子物語)

Summary:
Reiko is a 5 years old little girl who has the most spectacular face (opinions may vary from a what-is-that to wait-is-that-even-human to how-disgustingly-adorable) and old people taste with a dash of lace and frills. She hates cream, she is scared of snails, and old people adore her.

And this is a little documentary of her daily adventures with her mom and dad, both of whom are rather beautiful people might I add.

(Yes, bb!Reiko is that wrinkled... thing in her arms. ;D)

Commentary:
Just so you know, I am almost nearly as surprised as you that BL isn't the only genre I read. XDDD

That aside, Reiko is a lovely manga to read! It has the right mix of funny and warmth that family-oriented mangas bring. The character, Reiko brings a great entertainment factor to the book. Not only because of her face, though it is largely because she is adorably ugly in my eyes, she has the loveliest personality despite the slight Sadako-tendencies at times.

Everything is completely my taste!

And I have been told that I resemble Reiko here when I was her age (what Asian girl did not get a hair cut like that when they were small??)... and now too... maybe it's the smile? OTL

Serious Case of Withdrawal

After one last midterm before reading week (next week!! V) my thumb gets all twitchy on me.

...What is wrong with me?

I hold out my hand and my thumb twitches every few seconds or so... I suspect it might be my internet-withdrawal. I haven't been online for... two days. (My god, I need help.)

PS: Thinking of bringing my shoutbox back... but I am still in fear of spam and lack of people XDDD

Boom! Bang! Pow!

I give writer-rant when I am stuck (or when I should really be studying.)


Gah, action sequences are the hardest to write.

Everything just goes boom!bang!pow! and I am close to drawing a placement diagram just so I know where everyone is and whether they are still capable of performing tasks I say they can. OTL (His arms can't do that, my god.)

And this is exactly why I stick to feelings damnit! Because I don't need to find synonyms for walking and speaking when I can make everyone man-pain their way through 1000 or so words. But I feel like I need to step out of my comfortable angst box and develop some plot (but that is still highly subjective.)


PS: I really want to write some manga reviews: most likely to be BL but I found an amazing shuuru (and here I definitely hope I am using this word right) manga drawn by a BL mangaka. :D

PPS: All these text posts are starting to annoy me too.

It's Mine before I even say Be Mine
