ROOKIES

Name: Rookies (ルーキーズ)

Status: Complete with a special and movie.

Summary:
Based on a manga with the same name, Rookies is about a new teacher (who accidentally hits a student too hard, causing the poor boy to fall out of a window) who tries to help the school's baseball team (which is composed of a bunch of delinquents with really really interesting hair) realize their dream of going to Koshien.

Commentary:
Me and sports are the last thing that could work out nicely. But seriously, they make baseball look attractive, and that is saying a lot to the girl who gets bored by the Olympics and even the World Cup. DD: This drama series is totally 熱血 (hot-blooded?) and very shounen. Besides explicit man-love, manly-friendship is something I always try to keep an eye out for and this is totally compacted with manly-friendships. I give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5 because it is full of men... and I learned that you need at least 9 players to form a team. ;DD (I feel like I am ready to join the Olympics!!)

At the beginning, I could not tell the team by name (though right now I still can't.) D: But! Thank god their hair styles are so interesting (it's hilarious.) I had to share.

Sidenotes: I am glad these people come in groups of two (haha, partners much??) otherwise, I would never be able to make out who is who. DD:

Ace player (left) with really strange eyebrows & super 'bad boy' (right) who is actually just a mushy sappy guy who loves his friends to the point where it gets a little creepy. (I mean who keeps purikara group photo with them everywhere...)

The only sort of good boy on the team who is randomly turned Captain (left.) & Mohawk who gets his face smashed through a window... =u=

The Ojisan pair. I mean what century are they from, really??

Bloody Monday's Otoya (left) comes back and he makes dreadlocks look appealing<-- wow. & the other one just goes 'nya~' a lot... -shivers-

Highschool students do not (and let me repeat) do not have mustaches like that!! & I can't get over Opened-Chestnut-head (right.)

Sidesidenotes: The first thing that I attracted me to watch this drama was this poster... and its numerous bare man chest. -beaten to a pulp by baseball bat- (I think the shame is finally getting to me...)

The guy in the middle isn't the teacher!!! XDD the guy in the baseball uniform (that looked more like striped pjs) is the real teacher!! XDD The main guy with that strange angled but totally drool worthy man chest is the team's ace player XD

I am only on ep. 8 (there are 11) and I can't wait to watch the special AND movie!!

PS: It is DRIPPING with testosterone. And we just cant get enough~
