Title: Prometheus

Release: June 6^th 2012.

Summary:

Years and years into the future, we still want to find our maker and it is no longer God we are chasing after. (Spoilers: they are ugly Aliens after our lives!)

Commentary:

Supposedly, this is the prequel to Alien, I heard? But now I am hearing something different from other people. Still, for someone who didn’t watch a single Alien film from before, it hardly makes a difference for me because I am just in it for the Fassy. (Surprise?) 

I saw a lot of negative reviews, that’s why I was slightly hesitant at first. But really, for someone going in clueless, it really wasn’t bad. The plot is: dark caves, black drool, all the sci-fy horror-tropes in the world, good looking men and women dying one after another, and a final tentacles on alien scene. (Really though, that last one isn’t as kinky as it sounds.) If you are squeamish, I suggest you to hold out until the dvd so it isn’t cinema-quality because it has enough slim and tentacles and gruesome deaths to last 2 and some hours.

For those of us who are pretty much dead inside though, this isn’t something you haven’t seen before, just remade in a different sequence! :D Not that I think it is a bad thing because as creative as Ridley Scott is, sci-fy horror can only go so far and the entertainment factor wasn’t so bad, mainly because Noomi Rapace and Fassy are sexy in their own I-will-run-around-on-a-foreign-planet-because-it-is-no-big-deal-that-I-just-gave-birth-to-a-squid and I-have-no-emotions-but-can-still-be-a-complete-dick-somehow-it’s-really-quite-magical.

But PICKLES. Those Aliens’ head resembled pickles a little too much. Because it was either pickles… or penises. And the latter option wasn’t as… nice.
