what do you mean fall2013 meant anything but tv?

Start of my fall term is enough indications that the tv seasons have come back, someone sing me something beautiful, I feel like my soul is slowly coming back to me.

I was actually quite excited to have both my old shows and new shows coming back around the same time, but it seems that my favorite shows (yes, White Collar, yes you, I am looking right at you) are being pushed back until middle of October and some even November... /why

So naturally I am dipping my toes into some of the shiny new shows coming through. And well, it makes me so sad because, well, here be reviews.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D:
I was reluctant at first. Goes to show you I am not always wrong, well, at least not for myself anyway. It really was not my cup of tea. Aside from that real rad Melinda May who was wonderful, and Lola, Coulson's gorgeous car, everything else fell quite flat for me. And I'm a little sad because who doesn't like a good superpower'd tv show. I had to pause it midway through the pilot to make dinner because I couldn't be kept interested enough.

Sleepy Hollow:
I was warned beforehand that this wasn't all that great. But Tom Mison (as the adorable Ichabod Crane) was so tempting all over my dashboard on tumblr with his hobo hair and pretty pretty eyes. And I mean, everyone was watching, why not give it a chance? Um, no, kuro, bad idea. Supernatural things have never been my go to, neither is fantasy, and this is all that with a whole lot of tropes on the sides. It just feels so cliche to me. So, sadly, not even pretty boy Ichabod can keep me watching (and I even downloaded episode 2 too!)

The Blacklist:
Let's be honest, there is no doubt that I am watching this for Yancy (Diego Klattenhoff) only. I am gleeful of him getting more attention because of this show, on the other hand, he is so damn pedestrian in this pilot episode. I will probably keep watching for his sake, but really, I am just sitting at the edge of my seat because I am scared that he will die some terrible, awful death (like is that a train flying at him in the pREVIEW?!). Aside from Klattenhoff, the big plot twist in this pilot was not all that surprise motherfucker, actually not at all. I don't have high hopes, everything just feels so recycled.

*edit: so it seems like I just watched the second episode, and damn, that was actually decently good! The plot picks up a little bit more, there are a whole lot of other rad characters that isn't made of the whitest white bread to ever white. :D Also, Yancy might be bisexual and that is always something I can get on board with.

Peaky Blinders:
Why hello, Cillian Murphy, I have been missing your gorgeous cheekbones for a while now. But I am so sorry, I can't get pass the first ten minutes. OTL First, it was the accents, I don't have subtitles, and second, I have no idea what this is about (something about gangs and that's about as much as my understanding goes). I am so sorry, even your razor sharp cheekbones can't keep me interested.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine:
Let me just put this out there, I am not an Andy Samberg fan, his jokes often falls too far from what I am willing to laugh at. But this cop-comedy is adorable, he's the worst detective around but he provides results, also, he tried to tazer a melon and set a computer on fire instead, like how can I not find this dumb humor laugh worthy? It's fun, it's lighthearted, I am enjoying it.
